Lowell kept her anxiety in check throughout her pregnancy with the help a psychologist who specializes in trauma.

Happy Surprise
Us Weekly exclusively broke the news in September that the couple were expecting. “This baby is our rainbow after the storm,” Lowell told Us, referring to the miscarriage she suffered in 2017. The middle-school sweethearts were using birth control when the 26-year-old became pregnant. “We were using protection and everything,” she said. “This baby just wanted to be here. It was very unexpected.”

Meant to Be
Though the miscarriage was devastating, Lowell sees a silver lining: The loss led her to seek treatment for suicidal thoughts. “I really believe in my heart that I was meant to have that miscarriage because I spiraled so hard that it forced me to go to a place where I really had to dig into my childhood traumas,” she told Us. “I really think that that baby was meant to leave so I could really dig deeper on my wounds from childhood.”

Better Than Expected
After a rough road, Baltierra, 27, told Us he was worried about this pregnancy, but was pleasantly surprised. “Everything’s been smooth, all the doctor’s appointments are great. Everything’s been A-OK this whole time,” he said on the “Watch With Us” podcast in December 2018. “It’s a lot smoother than we expected, especially after the miscarriage, we didn’t know exactly how that would affect anything. Would it affect anything? What happens? Do we have to take any extra precautions because of that during this one? Everything’s been going great.”

Early Contractions
On February 13, the reality star began having contractions. “Dilated to a 3 and having contractions. This little girl wants to come,” she wrote on Instagram.

Name Change
The pair originally planned to name their daughter something completely different. “We were looking at names and we were just writing it down and I don’t know … I saw Lesley and I’m like, ‘No, not Lesley.’ It’s kinda weird. We just put different words together, letters together,” Baltierra told Us in December 2018. “We wanted to keep Lee in there ’cause [of our daughter] Novalee, so we just played around with it and then Tezlee [came up].
