Recent national beach volleyball tour events across Europe have crowned new champions. This past week saw thrilling competitions in Bulgaria, France, Slovakia, Spain, and Ukraine, where top athletes battled for national honors in both men`s and women`s divisions.

BULGARIA

Varna

In Varna, Bulgaria, the national beach volleyball tour concluded with exciting finals. The women`s title went to third seeds Irena Mishonova and Desislava Nikolova, who convincingly swept second seeds Eleonora Gicheva and Darina Kindova 2-0 (21-18, 21-7) in the final. Desislava Todeva and Selin Salim secured the bronze, overcoming Ivana Ivanova and Tsvetelina Ilieva in a tight 2-0 (22-20, 25-23) battle for third place.

For the men, second seeds Martin Yochev and Denislav Dimitrov claimed gold with a spectacular 2-1 comeback (15-21, 21-10, 15-8) against Hristiyan Velikov and Stefan Vartigov in the championship match. Boris Georgiev and Alexander Tsanev earned bronze by upsetting top seeds Konstantin Stoykov and Lachezar Stoimenov 2-0 (21-14, 28-26).

Saint-Laurent-du-Var

Saint-Laurent-du-Var hosted the highly anticipated Finals of the 2025 France Beach Volley Series. In the men`s event, third seeds Arthur Canet and Tom Altwies clinched the championship title, delivering a commanding 2-0 (21-13, 21-16) upset victory over the bracket leaders Noubet Ngatoum and Simon Lebecq. Olivier Barthelemy and Timothee Platre secured the bronze medals by defeating second seeds Lilian Le Meur and Jeremy Ullmann 2-0 (21-11, 21-18) in the third-place match.

On the women`s side, top seeds Elsa Descamps and Romane Sobezalz earned the national title, besting second seeds Saofe Duval and Marilu Pally in a hard-fought 2-1 (21-18, 13-21, 15-11) final. Third seeds Ophelie Lusson and Alex Merle claimed bronze with a solid 2-0 (21-19, 21-13) win against Naty Molinos and Lucile Colin.

Kosice

At the Nike Summer Beach Tour stop in Kosice, Slovakia, top seeds Kristina Harmanova and Zuzana Reginova lived up to expectations in the women`s event, securing a decisive 2-0 (21-18, 21-17) final victory over third seeds Ema Matasova and Ema Palkovicova. Zuzana Zamozikova and Viktoria Nemlaha took bronze in a close 2-1 (21-11, 16-21, 15-12) match against Jana Noskova and Ema Durisova.

For the men, Patrik Pokopec and Peter Michalovic mounted an impressive 2-1 comeback (19-21, 25-23, 15-12) to defeat second seeds Matus Krajco and Marek Meciar in the final. Tournament leaders Martin Petro and Patrik Marcok earned bronze by beating the mixed Polish-Ukrainian duo of Tomasz Cwiertnia and Kyrylo Tereshchenko 2-0 (21-18, 21-14) in the third-place match.

On the Spanish National Beach Volleyball Circuit, the Gran Canaria stop saw top seeds Pablo Perez and Nathan Matos win men`s gold, delivering a 2-0 (21-19, 21-17) victory in the final against qualifiers Finn Pickert and Llorenc Truyols. Jose Aba and Manuel Aba secured bronze with a 2-0 (21-16, 23-21) win over the Argentinean-Venezuelan duo of Ramiro Sancer and Hernan Tovar.

In the women`s final, top seeds Nazaret Florian and Adriana Serrano edged out second seeds Daniela Andreu and Elba Paez in a fiercely contested 2-1 (21-13, 20-22, 15-13) match. The bronze medal was won by qualifiers Maria Sevillano and Lucy Ifoma Monteiro, who staged a thrilling 2-1 (21-13, 18-21, 17-15) upset against third seeds Belen Carro and Bella Huesca.

The women`s trophy was claimed by Yeva Serdiuk and Anna Shumeiko, who delivered a 2-0 (21-16, 21-17) upset victory over top seeds Inna Makhno and Iryna Makhno in the final showdown. Marharyta Vapniar and Mariia Shkurat secured bronze with a 2-1 comeback (8-21, 21-17, 15-13) against third seeds Olha Mykhailovska and Olena Kurkina.

In the men`s trophy showdown, top seeds Sergiy Popov and Eduard Reznik defeated second seeds Vitalii Savvin and Anton Moiseiev 2-1 (23-25, 21-19, 15-5) in a thrilling encounter. Ivan Datsiuk and Oleksii Bublyk made the podium with bronze after a hard-fought 2-1 (21-19, 18-21, 15-12) victory over Dmytro Kozii and Yaroslav Tymchenko in the third-place game.
