NBA Teams Unveil 2025-26 City Edition Uniforms, Reverting to Fan Favorites

Sports News

On Friday, three NBA teams officially unveiled their new City Edition uniforms for the upcoming 2025-26 season. The Denver Nuggets, Atlanta Hawks, and Milwaukee Bucks are all set to reintroduce popular alternate designs from their 2019-2020 campaigns, aligning with the league`s current strategy of embracing modern throwback themes for its annual City Edition collection.

In recent years, the fan reception to the yearly alternate uniform releases has seen a decline, largely due to increasingly experimental and less traditional design choices. However, this season`s collection aims to mitigate some of that dissatisfaction by revisiting some of the most beloved City Edition designs from an era that commenced in 2017-18.

The Denver Nuggets truly excelled with their City Edition design, bringing back the iconic rainbow skyline motif on a sleek black jersey. This fan-favorite uniform was met with widespread enthusiasm, with its unveiling perfectly coinciding with the State of Colorado`s 149th anniversary.

The Milwaukee Bucks` uniform ensemble for the 2025-26 season is now complete, as their existing Association, Icon, and Statement jerseys—worn since 2023—will remain unchanged. Their new City Edition uniform marks the highly anticipated return of the `Cream City` theme, a heartfelt homage to the distinctive cream-colored bricks used in the city`s construction during the 19th century. Milwaukee has also announced plans to introduce a coordinating alternate court to complement these new jerseys.

The Atlanta Hawks are set to revive their `Peachtree` uniforms, a design that pays tribute to the renowned Peachtree Street and Georgia`s proud nickname as the `Peach State`. The shorts prominently feature a basketball cleverly shaped like a peach, with the entire uniform design emphasizing various shades of peach coloring.

More teams are anticipated to reveal their alternate uniform designs in the coming weeks and months. All final updates are expected to be released just in time for the official start of the season, which tips off on October 21st.
