The match saw Piacenza start strong, securing the first set with a score of 25-17. Modena retaliated in the second set, winning it by an identical margin of 25-17 to draw level. However, Piacenza regained momentum, taking the third set 25-20, before closing out the intense fourth set 30-28 to seal their triumph.

Mandiraci was the top scorer for Piacenza, contributing 19 points. He was well-supported by Gutierrez with 13 points, and both Bovolenta and Simon, who each added 12 points. For Modena, Porro also delivered a strong performance with 19 points, while Davyskiba chipped in with 16 points.
