Impact of FIVB Volleyball Empowerment Program
The stellar performances of these national teams underscore the profound positive impact of the FIVB Volleyball Empowerment initiative. The Icelandic Volleyball Association has been a key beneficiary, having received a total of USD 94,500 in coach support for both their national volleyball and beach volleyball teams across genders. This funding has been further augmented by USD 35,000 for general volleyball equipment and an additional USD 6,000 specifically allocated for beach volleyball equipment. Icelandic athletes are currently flourishing under the expert guidance of Spanish coach Borja Gonzalez.
The Scottish Volleyball Association has similarly benefited, receiving USD 126,000 in FIVB Volleyball Empowerment coach support for their national beach volleyball teams, who are currently training under the supervision of Rachael Gunn from New Zealand and Seain Cook. Scotland`s dedication to developing beach volleyball talent is also evident through a USD 6,000 allocation for a national team coaches` development knowledge transfer program. Furthermore, the Volleyball Association of Ireland has utilized USD 85,500 in FIVB Volleyball Empowerment coach support for their national beach volleyball teams, alongside USD 12,000 designated for beach volleyball national team coaches` development initiatives. Their talented pairs are coached by Melissa Cupples.
